Hair & Style Crush: YaYa Alafia

I love me some Yaya! I’ve loved her since she was a contestant on America’s Next Top Model. One episode, she described a particular hat as “fake” and “cheap” kente. How could I not love her? (lol)  She is smart, beautiful and now an accomplished actress. She didn’t win the competition, Eva Marcille did (another one of my favorite contestants). Even though she didn’t win, Yaya is one of the show’s most successful contestants. Since America’s next Top Model, she has appeared in a couple of films, music videos (always as a classy leading lady), TV shows and she even had a recurring role in the  hit soap opera All My Children. She has a role in Lee Daniels’ critically acclaimed film  ‘The Butler’ which is currently playing in movie theaters. Yaya is my hair and style crush.  Her style is simple but with an African flare at times.
