All Done!

My Marley twists are done and I love them. This third time around, the twists are the smallest that I have ever gotten them. My sister-in-law said she didn’t want to do them too big because she wanted the twists to appear fuller. She also said it’s easier to hide new growth when the twists are smaller. I didn’t mind, YOLO. However, we ran out of hair when she was close to done. We had to go to the beauty supply store and purchase a fourth pack of Marley braiding hair. This fourth pack cost $4.99 as opposed to the first three packs which cost $5.99 (per pack). I prefer the brand of the previous packs. The first pic below is of the brand I prefer. I purchased this brand at Beauty Island in Takoma Park, MD. This $5.99Ā  hair blended in perfectly with my hair texture.

This brand below was $4.99 and that whole dollar less made a world of difference. The hair was very shiny and there wasn’t much in the pack. It felt cheap and flimsy. In addition, it did not blend in well with my hair texture. However, it was the only Marley braiding hair at Beauty 4 U in Upper Marlboro, MD. So I had to purchase it in order to finish the front of my hair. The excessive shine is noticeable in the second picture. I will never purchase this hair again.

My goal is to keep my twists in for at least four weeks.Ā  I know they will get cuter with time but I don’t want them looking too messy.Ā  Especially since I go to the gym and I SWEAT a lot. Time will reveal but four weeks is my goal. Thank you for reading and God bless you šŸ™‚

  1. Love the twists and thanks for sharing! Let us know how long you are able to keep them in. I work out too and spend a lot of time in the water. I have always wondered if I would be able to keep them in for a long period of time without them getting too messy.

    • Thank you!! I will definitely give an update on them. MMmm.. I am not sure about the water, that’s a good question. I don’t know how to swim so I’ve never been in the water with them. Thank you for stopping by šŸ™‚
