Ghana 2015|Vlog # 2| Being A Tourist

Happy Monday! I am back with Vlog # 2 of my recent trip back home to Ghana.

This particular day was really nice and full of tourist stops. My family and I went to Parliament of Ghana (not seen in this vlog, we did not go inside but instead walked around outside). What can be seen in this vlog is our visit to Independence Square also known as Black Star Square, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and Aburi Botanical Gardens. I then share a strange encounter at Aburi Botanical Gardens. I also share of my encounter with a famous Ghanaian football star later that same day at Accra Mall. Of course my camera was dead so these random encounters weren’t recorded. I guess I can’t capture everything *shrugs*. See Vlog 2 below and watch it in HD if you can!

See some pictures from the day below. Special thanks to my sister in law because some of the pictures below she took.

Parliament of Ghana

This is where many laws and decisions are made. This was such a random stop that wasn’t included in my vlog because it didn’t make the cut. I should’ve just saved my battery life  *sucks teeth*.

Independence Square aka Black Star Square

Fun Fact: It is the second-largest city square in the world after Tiananmen Square in China. –Wikipedia

Fun Fact: Over his lifetime, Nkrumah was awarded honorary doctorates from Lincoln University, Moscow State University, Cairo University, Jagiellonian University in Poland, Humboldt University, and many others.-Atlanta Black Star

Sidenote: My sis in law took all of these pictures at the memorial.

In regards to that tree below, our tour guide Felix said the following:

“People walk on top of each other to get to the top and the chief is at the top”.

What are the streets friends and family saying about Vlog 1? Let’s see below!

The love is real ❤ but as you can see some thought Vlog 1 was too long. Personally, I don’t think 4o minutes is too long for a vlog. I’ve watched vlogs longer than that (45 minutes long to be exact). If a vlog is that good and I have the time, I don’t mind. However, I understand some people don’t have that kind of time. I listened and decided to edit Vlog 2 down to 22 mins!  In retrospect lowkey, I could’ve edited Vlog 1 some more in order to shorten it. However, this is all a learning experience that I am grateful for. I am definitely getting the hang of editing a vlog. I can’t wait to edit and share the rest my vlogs. Feel free to leave any comments or questions below. Have a wonderful week and stay cool and hydrated in this heatwave. P.S. Godwillingly, I’ll upload a vlog episode every Monday.
