Black Love DC: Part Deux

Black Love DC: Part Deux took place this past Sunday Feb 8, 2015. Best known as The Black Love Experience, is a launch pad celebration for two of the most highly revered times of the year, Black History Month and Valentine’s Day. This event fuses diverse forms of creativity and the expression of self-love in one space. “It’s a gathering for those who have an appetite for art, the creative economy, and mingling East of the River.” says Nubian Hueman Founder, Anika Hobbs.

There was such excitement in the air as hundreds of guests filtered into the Anacostia Arts Center for a new type of DC experience. As they entered, the attendees { the first 150} were welcomed with swag bags and some amazing music mixed by the one and only DJ Underdog of OkayAfrica and AfroPunk.
