Happy Sunday!
Today is the last day of November! Where did the year go? Anywho, I wanted to recap my b-day month!! I turned 27 on the 21st ! WHOOP WHOOP for another blessed year of life ❤ My bday trip to NY was the highlight of November as well as FINALLY getting the new iPhone. My iPhone 4s is looking crazy! Verizon told me they’d give me $18. #TheyTriedIt #ItisVERYBUSTEDthough However, I am gonna keep it strictly to play 90s music in my car ❤ 🙂
As it gets colder, I tend to hibernate like a bear {aside from work & church}. However, I’m gonna try and live a little this winter..lol Especially since I got a great and cozy winter coat from Zara! I think it’s one of the warmest winter coats I’ve ever had in my adult life. It makes the cold bearable for now which is good because I hate the winter cold.
Anywho, here is my November in pics!
My 27th b-day in NY was popping! #BestBirthdayEver RECAP here
Crochet Braids on deck again! I like this set better than my last.
I always get black nails around my b-day/Fall. This time I decided to add some sparkle to my 4th finger #TurnUp.
#WorkSelfie If you come to Nubian Hueman on a Saturday, you will most likely see me there working. *Wink Wink* Yesterday {all across the US the day after Black Friday} was Small Business Saturday. Nubian Hueman was popping with customers.
Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes-Norton and the Small Business Association came by to recognize Nubian Hueman and its owner Anika Hobbs. What an honor!
It was amazing seeing Anika honored but it was also amazing seeing my Instagram/blogger boos in person for the first time. On the left is Clarissa {she is also a November baby!!}. Her blog name is This Afropolitan Life. I love her blog and have been stalking following it for quite some time. I discovered it via my other blogger boo Mabel {Me Bo Life}. Now on the right is Janet who is my Instagram boo and Clarissa’s cousin. They were Nubian Hueman’s FIRST customers of the Small Business Saturday. Everything in the store was 25% off! Clarissa bought that Chen Burkett NY blazer she’s rocking in our pic together {on the left}. Janet bought this lovely Tina Lobondi skirt. I was so happy to meet them ❤
Coincidentally, I won this African Cities bag on Black Friday here on Clarissa’s blog. The bag is also sold at Nubian Hueman and I’m always eying it. I am excited I was chosen as the giveaway winner. Thanks Clarissa 🙂 Be sure to check out her blog This Afropolitan Life, it’s truly one of my favorites.
I’m still thinking about this yummy brunch I had at Mango Seed in NY. *Sigh*
I can’t forget this beautiful piece of art at the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Exhibition.
I am currently reading Alex Elle’s Love In My Language. I bought it at Nubian Hueman but it’s also sold online at Amazon here. It has 5 stars!!
I saw this Believe sign at Macy’s in NY! I love it. I am going to believe that 27 and 2015 will be my best year yet! I am looking forward to December and Christmas festivities. My girls and I are going to {hopefully} have an ugly Christmas sweater party!! I am so ready! I already have a cute Christmas sweater I bought at Target and I am gonna come with some good 90s Rnb Christmas music!! Boyz II Men- Let It Snow anyone?? THAT IS MY JAM!!! It sounds like a straight up 90s slow jam and kinda romantical. I’m here for it. #YAS
