I think Patra or Sheneneh braids better suits mine.
I ADORE them! Some people don’t like big braids but I sure do!!!! I prefer them over small braids.

Word in the streets is that Jamaican dancehall singer Patra is the originator of these big braids. She allegedly started sporting them in the 90s first.
Now time for some more braids inspiration from Angela Simmons, Queen Bey, Brandy, Keri Hilson, The Okpo Sisters, Solange, Janet Jackson, Eva Marcille and Jhene Aiko. I got these pics via Google image search and I went absolutely HAM..lol
I am just gonna rock braids all summer. Not so my hair can grow but because I don’t feel like doing my hair. It’s either rock braids or shave all my hair off…lol I don’t feel like dealing with my hair.

Lovely braids hon! The first stars I saw rock these braids were Brandy and Patra…amazing memories! Now i cant help but wonder whether the braids pull on the sides of the head due to their weight….Wow! look at Ms Eve, never seen her with braids before this image, really suits her!

How do you maintain your hairline with the braids? I’ve literally given up on braiding my hair for now cause my hairline is just not feeling it I guess.

I try not to put them up a lot, especially in those high buns OR tight styles that pull them too much. I mostly wear them in the style in the third to last picture {the pic of me in the pink necklace}. But I twist or braid it to the side very loosely. However, my hairline isn’t as strong as it used to be due to really tight weaves and braids.
