So just as last week’s Naturalista Files: MaameYaa Boafo, Maame Adjei also stars in an African City. My new favorite web series!!! 🙂 I had been following both ladies on Instagram way before the show. I discovered Maame Adjei through Black Girl Long Hair last summer when she was featured as a Natural Hair Icon. She was also interviewed for AfroElle Magazine last year in which she shared her experience as a returnee to Ghana (great interview by the way). She recently did a concept shoot for ‘Pretty. Period. – Black Star SHINE’ (Accra, Ghana) created by Dr. Yaba Blay. Read more about Dr. Blay’s “Pretty Period” here. It’s a wonderful project! Below are some lovely photos from the shoot taken by photographer TJ Letsa along with some behind the scene photos from Dr.Blay’s Facebook because I do be creeping..lol

As I mentioned before she also stars in An African City. Read more about her AND her character Zainab below.
Character: Zainab, a Ghanaian born in Sierra Leone, grew up in Atlanta. Her entrepreneurial spirit brought her back to Ghana and she has a constant eye for business opportunities. Her primary business is exporting Shea Butter from Ghana to Europe and the United States.
Actress: Maame Adjei is currently a budding television producer, with productions that focus on Ghana’s tourism industry. She is also a member of the production team for the annual Miss Universe Ghana Pageant. With small roles in Speak as well as Coz ov Moni, Maame makes her major acting debut in ‘An African City.’ Maame has a B.A from Temple University and a masters from St. Josephs University both in Philadelphia, PA.

I think she does a great job on the show, take a look at some photos of her as Zainab along with some photos of her with the other lovely ladies.
Now show aside, she is FAB! This is where the post gets slightly creepy…lol I couldn’t resist posting some fab pictures I saw on Maame’s Instagram and other pics I saw of her floating around online {i.e. blogs and Tumblr} because she has great style and shades! Just see below!
