Happy Thanksgiving! <3

On Monday, I went to my local Christian book store to buy a gratitude journal. I always wanted to buy one but disregarded the thought. Last week, while I was reading a post from Rae of  Love Thy Introvert  entitled “The Struggle to be Thankful, she mentioned that for the rest of this month, she would be writing everyday in her Give Thanks journal. She would be writing things that she is thankful for and/or positive things in her life. I had wanted to start journal writing again but usually my journal entries are very negative..lol HENCE why I haven’t written in it for months. I want my new journal to be filled with positive things and all the GOOD God has done for me. The good always outweighs the bad and he is always due praise. It’s time to speak positivity over my life and be grateful for all that God has done and continues to do for me and my family. Being a Negative Nancy and Debbie Downer is damaging to my soul and spirit. I realized that after I write down all the things that I am thankful for, I feel so much better. My spirits feel lifted. I have been doing this since Tues {not long} but I can already FEEL the difference and I know my positive outlook on life will only get better. Everyday won’t be perfect but God will always be good and faithful because he never changes. I got a cute journal because I wanted to be motivated to write in it. Check out my journal below, it’s so pretty!!!

Store up for yourselves treasures in heaven… For where you treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:20-21 NIV

I LOVE this journal. There are memory verses on every other page and also positive quotes every couple of pages. It is so important to guard the heart and mind.  A week a ago today, I turned 26, I am blessed to see another birthday and another Thanksgiving. Thank you God 🙂
