“Sweat pants, hair tied, chillin’ with no make–up on. That’s when you’re the prettiest, I hope that you don’t take it wrong.”- DRAKE
Can I just say how much I LOVE the puff? I would rock it everyday if I could. But my hair & my edges wouldn’t thank me. There is just something I love about having my hair pulled away from my face into a high afro puff. A couple of weeks ago, I had the BEST puff week on non-blow dried hair. When I used to rock my puffs circa 2010 & 2011, my hair was ALWAYS blow dried first. However, a couple of weeks ago I was trying to go heat free (that didn’t work out) but I will tell you about that in another post. Anyways, my puffs on my heat free hair were EVERYTHING.> My only complaint is that by the end of my work day ( yes I rocked my puff to work!) my puff was shrunken and not as big as when I left for work in the morning. That Maryland humidity got the best of it! Nonetheless I had some good puffs, take a look at my puff collage below from that good puff week.
The big pic on the left, my hair was stretched out. I twisted only my ends the night before.
The top right picture, I combed out (or picked out) my twisted ends from the night before.
The bottom right pic my hair is damp & not combed or picked out.
Now this pic below isn’t from that marvelous puff week but instead last Sat in Ocean City. This puff is on blow dried hair. I twisted the ends of my hair the night before with coconut oil and unraveled the twists and fluffed them up the next morning.
Now here is some puff inspiration 🙂
